Legal notice

This website is the monitoring platform of the Solar Demo Center, a facility of the Solar Energy Institute of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (IES-UPM) created within the framework of a collaboration agreement with Trina Solar. The application is developed as a Final Degree Project of the Telematics Engineering Degree (ETSIST-UPM) and its purpose is strictly informative, educational and research-oriented.

While the project is under development, this website is hosted and operated by the author of the Final Degree Project, under his own domain and on his own infrastructure: for the purposes of the LSSI-CE, the service provider is the author, not the University. The photovoltaic facility and the published data belong to the IES-UPM. This notice will be updated once hosting moves to UPM infrastructure.

The names, logos and trademarks mentioned (UPM, IES, Trina Solar) belong to their respective owners. Generation data are published for demonstration and outreach purposes: they are provided as is, with no guarantee of accuracy, completeness or availability, and must not be used as the basis for technical or economic decisions.

Privacy policy

This website requires no registration and does not collect or store any personal data from its visitors, except for the technical access logs described below. The information displayed (voltage, current, power, energy) corresponds to electrical measurements of the photovoltaic facility and contains no personal data.

As in any web service, the server keeps technical access logs that include the IP address, which the GDPR considers personal data. They are processed for the sole purpose of ensuring the security and diagnostics of the service, on the legal basis of the provider's legitimate interest (Article 6.1.f GDPR); they are kept only as long as necessary for those purposes and they are not cross-referenced with other sources, disclosed to third parties or used for profiling.

The contact form does not send or store any data on this server: pressing "Send" opens the user's own email application with the message prepared, and it is sent from their email account to the IES-UPM mailbox. This website therefore does not process the form data (name, email and message); their handling at the receiving mailbox is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

Cookie policy

This website does not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies. It only uses a first-party technical cookie, "lang", which remembers the language chosen in the menu selector: it is created only when the user switches language, expires after one year and is not shared with third parties. As it is strictly necessary to provide the service requested by the user, it is exempt from consent (Article 22.2 LSSI-CE) and therefore no banner is displayed.

Applicable law

This website is governed by Spanish law, in particular by Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI-CE), the GDPR and the LOPDGDD.
